I’m a day late on this one. TiVo’ stock shot up over 17% yesterday on speculation that Apple might purchase the company. Both Apple and TiVo declined comment which would seem to say it is highly possible. It does make sense - with Microsoft being so aggressive with its media PC initiative - and Apple with really the best media computers, that Apple would like to secure what at $300 million is a great deal for the leader in DVR subscription services.

Should be interesting. What do you make of it?
